Dear Valued Customer,
We want to update you on your Cricket
® service. As
you know, Cricket service is better than ever, and we continue
to lay the foundation for new innovations that will further
change the way people communicate. With more than 80 percent of
our customers using Cricket as their primary phone, Cricket
leads a national trend by shifting calls and customers from
traditional landline service to wireless phones. We plan to
continue providing a reliable, high quality wireless alternative
for customers and to remain a leader in the marketplace.
While Cricket continues to be successful, we do need to take
steps to reduce our debt and thus improve our financial
position. Since August, we have been working with our creditors
to restructure our debt and, as part of that process, we have
recently filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy reorganization. This
filing is an important phase in our restructuring process, and
we expect that it will enable us to emerge as a stronger
business continuing to offer high quality, affordable wireless
service.
Cricket service will not be interrupted as a result of the
bankruptcy filing. During our restructuring activity over the
last few months, we have continued to expand our service to
include Cricket Talk and other new features while continuing to
offer you the same level of service we have delivered in the
past. You can expect that we will continue doing so in the
future.
